Gary has accumulated a wealth of experience that spans all aspects of business and brings with him a rare combination of employment law knowledge and practical 'hands-on' operational management experience. This rare combination gives Gary a unique ability to deliver business critical employment law advice and HR management services to business owners, directors, and senior managers, helping them ensure they prevent problems and protect their businesses from time consuming personnel problems and/or costly employment tribunal claims.
A Fellow of the Institute of Paralegals (IoP), member of the Scottish Paralegal Association (Grade 1), Fellow of the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM), and member of the Professional Paralegal Register (PPR), Gary is recognised as a highly experienced employment law specialist, manager and leader, committed to delivering practical employment law advice and professional HR services of the highest standards and to meeting continuous professional development requirements, ensuring he remains completely up to date with the latest employment law legislation and best practices in leadership.
Gary also volunteers as a Trustee Board member with Cancer Support Scotland and Stirling Citizens Advice Bureau where he has responsibility for contributing to the discharging of the Boards' duties in the areas of service delivery, finance, staffing, funding, governance, and setting policies and procedures.
For four years Gary also volunteered with Children's Panel Scotland where, as a panel member, he was actively involved in hearing cases and making vital decisions about vulnerable children and young people in need of care or who have offended.
An LLB graduate of the Law School at Strathclyde University, former member of the Strathclyde University Law Clinic, certified specialist civil court paralegal, and Fellow of the Institute of Paralegals (IoP), Morag has extensive legal knowledge and several years of operational management experience, the combination of which give her the unique ability to be able to deliver business critical employment law and HR advice ensuring Clients are able to strike the right balance between compliance and operational delivery.
Morag is responsible for delivering support to Clients across all aspects of employment law and HR, from drafting contracts of employment and HR policies and procedures to advising Clients on employee disputes, short and long-term absence and poor performance, ensuring Clients remain compliant with their legal obligations.
Morag has experience in dealing with fast-paced organisations and has a commercially focused outlook, managing risk as appropriate. She recognises the importance of exceeding Client expectations and takes a hands-on approach, tailoring the support she delivers to the requirements of the Client in every area of the employee lifecycle.
A Fellow of the Institute of Paralegals (IoP) and graduate of the University of the West of Scotland with a 2.1 Honours Degree in Human Resource Management, Maxine has an in-depth understanding of the importance of actively supporting the operation of a business by providing effective and professional employment law advice and HR support.
Maxine is committed to building client relationships which are built on trust and confidence and will provide practical HR advice with structure, clarity and confidence. She seeks to forge strong professional relationships and works with all clients to maximise their return on their people investment. Maxine follows case law judgements, regularly attends employment law briefings and believes strongly in continuous professional development.
Maxine supports Clients with changing terms and conditions of employment, implementing HR policies and procedures, organisational restructure and providing generalist HR support and will help ensure Clients remain compliant with employment law and manage staff issue effectively.
An Associate of the Institute of Paralegals (IoP), Ashley is highly experienced in recognising Client needs quickly and the ability to build trust and credibility with Clients and Colleagues, across all levels and ensures the consistent delivery of customer service excellence in an efficient, effective and pleasant manner.
Ashley has a Certificate in HR Management, a BTEC qualification in Employment Law Practice and Procedure at QCF Level 3, and she is currently working towards a Certified Employment Law Paralegal qualification. Ashely is a key member of the team and helps looks after the day to day needs of our Clients, acting as liaison between HR Advisors and Clients and providing essential support as required.
Ashley thrives under pressure, possesses excellent multitasking, time management and organisational skills, and an optimistic and encouraging "can do" attitude. Ashley's positive and efficient approach ensures Client's consistently receive excellent support and that complex tasks and projects are delivered effectively within set time scales.
