The number of people placed into permanent jobs saw the greatest increase in two-and-a-half years last month, according to the monthly Report on Jobs survey by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC).

On average, Staff Absence costs UK businesses more than £12 Billion per year and it looks like the Police Services across Scotland are feeling the ill-effects of repeated staff absence themselves.
