DWP publishes revised fit note guidance

Following the government response on tackling long-term sickness absence, the DWP have published revised fit note guidance to enable doctors to provide advice on what type of work the employee can undertake. The guidance clarifies that the fit note is to be used to assess an employee's general fitness for work so as to allow flexibility to discuss what changes could help them stay in employment.
