The Information Commissioner's Office have published guidance on bring your own device (BYOD). The guidance considers the data protection issues for employers who permit employees to use their personal devices for work purposes, such as smartphones and tablets.
The guidance recommends that employers implement and maintain an acceptable use policy in order to minimise the risk of unauthorised or unlawful processing of data or the accidental loss or destruction of personal data.
EmployEasily HR can draft and supply you with a 'BYOD policy' dealing with issues including acceptable use, information security, expectations of privacy, the employer's right to access and wipe data on the device, technical support and responsibility for running costs.
Call us today on 0800 612 4772 or Contact Us via our website to get your 'Bring your own device (BYOD)' policy now.
