National Minimum Wage Due to Increase

All workers in the UK are entitled to receive the National Minimum Wage and what Employers need to pay them depends on the age of the employee and whether or not they are an apprentice.

However, the rate paid to apprentices only applies to apprentices who are under 19 or in their first year. Apprentices who are 19 or over and past their first year must be paid the National Minimum Wage that applies to their age.
