The CIPD and Acas have urged the government to help address what they dub the UK’s people management skills deficit. They believe the government could be doing more to communicate to employers the strong commercial reasons for developing people management skills, so that companies can take advantage of the economic upturn when it materialises.
The CIPD and Acas launched joint guidance last week on a programme which looks at how to manage a team, conflict and yourself.
